Prayer Lifeline: August 2022

Prayer Lifeline: August 2022

Your prayers are powerful. When you pray, God responds. Thank you for joining us this month as we praise God for all He has done and ask Him to continue to move.

The Cardiac Center Construction

David Pepsney, WGM missionary in Kenya, stated, “The Cardiothoracic Center is going up so quickly! It really is amazing to see how God is working in this community! The incredible support from so many amazing partners has been outstanding!” Will you pray over this building and those supporting it and working in it?

Laura Lea Sims (1966–2022)

For the past three decades, Laura Lea Sims has served the Native American population in Arizona through WGM. Tragically, she was killed in a car accident on July 16, 2022, on her way to Hollow Rock Campmeeting in Ohio. Laura Lea wrote the following statement in August 2000: “In the midst of crisis and change, I have learned that when you are walking in obedience, He gives you a peace and contentment lodged in the heart.” Please join us in praying for Laura Lea’s family, friends, and coworkers—that they would feel peace and contentment, even through crisis.

Kids Camp in the Czech Republic

Kirby and Whitney McMunn, WGM missionaries in the Czech Republic, are helping with a children’s camp. They asked for your prayers as they work alongside volunteers from their church from both Czech Republic and Ukraine. They asked, “Pray that we can shine the light of Jesus to each precious heart that encounters this camp in any way (even to each other).”

Tabitha Ministry

Linda Spriegel, WGM missionary in Kenya, shared, “It is a joy and privilege for Tabitha Ministry to partner with local churches active in reaching out to the needy.” In the past six weeks they have reached out to several people in need and have partnered to provide prayer, resources, the love of Jesus, and encouragement. Will you pray for those who have been and will be touched by this ministry? Ask God that they will see the light of Jesus through those seeking to lift them up and seek His leading in their lives.

The Heat Continues

A ministry team served at Taylor Community Center. They posted on their Facebook page that the summer heat in McAllen isn’t stopping their Soccer Lion Academy kids from enjoying their time with the team! Will you pray for the missionaries, ministry teams, and local community involved in the Lion Academy? Ask God to show them His love and transform their lives through the relationships formed there.
