Refugee Resettlement
Description
Work with a local organization assisting with the resettlement of refugees for cultural assimilation, job preparedness, housing, and school readiness.
Opportunities
There are a people group in this part of the country who practice a major world religion and have never heard the real truth of the Gospel; neither have they witnessed those who truly follow the teachings of Jesus. As a minister of the Gospel, there will be no need to apply for travel paperwork or have the necessary inoculations to guard your health while being abroad. It will be possible to minister while remaining in the continental United Stated for raising support. Also, this ministry field is an excellent opportunity for cross-cultural training in preparation for those planning to serve abroad.
Qualifications
Applicants must enjoy building relationships and have a heart for refugees and middle-eastern immigrants.
Length of Service
- Short-term: 1-2 weeks
- Mid-term: 1-12 months
- Long-term: 2 or more years
