Kenya: INFA-MED Resident Tuition
WGM missionaries have been actively involved in training and discipling East African doctors in Family Medicine since 2005. Specialty trained family medicine doctors are needed in East Africa as the consultant to the primary care team. They will promote wholistic care of patients, build up the health care team and provide the best possible care in settings of limited resources. Kabarak University Family Medicine Residency tuition is about $3,000 per year for 4 years. Residents are expected to contribute at least $1,000 tuition per year and any fees from their modest stipend support. Your contribution supports up to one third ($1,000 per year) of the tuition to supplement the recipient's contribution and support given by other charities. The Institute of Family Medicine is a Christian Kenyan Trust that administers this tuition scholarship along with monthly educational stipends that are separately funded through another WGM account and other charitable organizations.
