Prayer Lifeline: November 2021

Prayer Lifeline: November 2021

We seek God in prayer not just to lift up burdens that are heavy on our hearts, but also to praise Him for His faithfulness. As you pray through these requests today, be encouraged and cling to the hope we have for redemption.

The Edge of Famine

Please continue to lift up those affected by the worsening situation in Yemen. Conflict continues, food prices are rising drastically throughout the country, and the third wave of COVID-19 has hit. This combination of factors has led to millions of Yemenis finding themselves on the edge of famine. We know that God sees their needs and cares deeply about them. Let us take this burden to Him and trust that He will move.

Seeking Truth

Tiffany Janofski, a missionary in Albania, is hosting Alpha, a ministry that explores questions about Christianity. These sessions have been going really well, with conversations on topics such as the meaning of life and forgiveness. Though participants haven’t always agreed, they are respectful, processing through these big questions together. Please pray for those attending these sessions, that the Spirit will continue to move during these sessions. Pray that these conversations will stick with the participants throughout the week and that their search for meaning will draw them to Jesus.

Serving Others

Tim Spetnagel, serving as a missionary in Honduras, watched as his son served others. “My heart overflows with happiness to see my children serve,” Tim said. Please pray for the Spetnagel children, as well as other missionary kids around the world. Pray that their time in a ministry location will shape them to be more like Jesus. Ask God to bless them with a rich community where they are encouraged to live out their faith through serving others.

Stepping Up

God is moving young adults in Uganda through Band of Brothers and Sisters, a discipleship program. The members of the program are diligently memorizing scripture and engaging in discipleship with one another. In addition to the staff, many of these Heritage International School students have stepped up to speak during chapel in the weeks and months to come, including middle school students. Please pray that God would continue to work in these students’ hearts in miraculous ways and use them to impact those around them!
