Kevin and Moselle Stark
Moselle: I grew up overseas with a missionary surgeon father. I knew from childhood that God had called me to medical missions. During my OBGYN residency I developed a passion and talent for surgical instruction. I want to provide knowledge and community for residents, as well as point them to Christ in the same way I was in the transformational time of life called residency. I plan to do this while serving as an OBGYN.
Kevin: I love building community so people can connect with each other and with God in impactful, life-changing ways. This is a gift that I discovered during Moselle’s residency. I saw this was needed for doctors and their families to remain healthy and spiritually grounded. I want to be an agent of connection and encouragement to faculty, residents, and their families.
We are called to make a lasting impact through the multiplication of medical doctors and Christ followers, and we do so in the following ways:
- Serving as an OBGYN physician and faculty member at Tenwek Hospital.
- Living life alongside residents and their families, encouraging them through the challenges of the program and in their walks with Jesus.
- Building up the OBGYN residency program into a strong, sustainable academic program to generate new graduates for years to come.
- Creating a template for future OBGYN residencies to be planted in mission hospitals throughout Africa.
