Moving from my home country of Venezuela to the U.S. when I was a child was stepping into the unknown. Moving to a new place was scary and lonely. It is this experience that helps me to empathize with immigrants around the world.
During my internship in Spain working with a cultural center that helps refugees and immigrants, I realized how similar our stories were and how much we have in common. I was blessed to have people who made being in a new country easier. I want to be that person for others who find themselves in a new culture.
