Our Call and Vision

We serve as team leaders of WGM’s new ministry to the indigenous tribes of Paraguay, with the main focus on making disciples who make disciples in order to reach the unreached among the communities. We share the desire and vision to mobilize young people locally to serve and lead in their own communities. Jesus commands us to go and disciple all the nations and ethnic groups, and we sense the burden and urgency to reach those who still have not heard the Gospel, while we form disciples who reproduce the model in a simple and sustainable way. 

Our WGM team in Paraguay is growing: some serve in the capital city and others support us in the villages. Would you remember us in your prayers?

Dahiana and I began dating when we both discovered that God had placed the same unique call on our hearts, and He was working in the details to bring us together. We got engaged in 2024 and got married in January 2025. It has been such a life-giving and awesome adventure serving with my best friend and bride. We carry a heavy spiritual burden every day to reach and disciple the lost, but God has provided a wonderful companion to help and serve together. 

Gabe’s story:

From a young age, the Lord began calling me to follow His leading, many times through the influence of mentors in school, university, and throughout my life—especially my strong Christian family with generational roots of pastors and missionaries. When I was in middle and high school, the Lord called me to go on multiple short-term trips, and I began seeing perspectives from the global church—seeing God’s heart for all peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations to be reached with the Good News and light of Jesus.

When I began at Asbury University, my faith grew immensely, and I had the opportunity to practice ministry on and off campus. I participated in a three-month midterm volunteer experience with WGM in Paraguay during the summer of 2021. The Holy Spirit met me countless times through various ministries and miracles I witnessed. The call of God was so evident in the middle of that summer: return to Paraguay full-time to serve others so they might know Jesus. The Holy Spirit called me very clearly and said, “Will you serve with me for my kingdom’s cause, Gabe? Will you shine my light in the darkest places?” 

Saying yes to Jesus opens doors for His kingdom’s purposes and makes it possible for the Gospel to reach all peoples. 

I have served full-time with WGM since 2022.

Dahiana’s story:

Since I was little, faith was instilled in me because my mother was and still is a faithful believer in Jesus. Although our family went through difficult times during my childhood, today I can look back and see how God’s hand has worked in each one of us. I have always been involved in the church for as long as I can remember, but it was in February 2020, after an intercultural conference focused on missions, that the Lord transformed my life and my commitment to Him.

The conference took place in Chile, and when I returned to Paraguay, I came back with a renewed desire to serve Him and with a deeper understanding of missions. Once in Paraguay, the Lord began to open doors until I became fully involved in ministry among indigenous communities.

Since 2020, I have been serving with a local organization called Jaha—which means “Let’s go” in our native language, Guaraní—and since December 2024, also with WGM. I got here thanks to God, a very important friend, and my friend and now husband, Gabe, who all motivated me to join WGM. I studied and worked full-time as a psychologist in a company, but now I serve God full-time in ministry.

Nuestro Llamado y Visión

Servimos como líderes de equipo en el nuevo ministerio de WGM dirigido a las tribus indígenas de Paraguay, con el enfoque principal en hacer discípulos que hacen discípulos para alcanzar a los no alcanzados entre estas comunidades. Compartimos el deseo y la visión de movilizar a los jóvenes locales para que sirvan y lideren en sus propias comunidades. Jesús nos manda ir y discipular a todas las naciones y grupos étnicos, y sentimos la carga y la urgencia de alcanzar a quienes aún no han escuchado el Evangelio, mientras formamos discípulos que reproducen el modelo de manera sencilla y sostenible.

Nuestro equipo de WGM en Paraguay está creciendo: algunos sirven en la capital y otros nos apoyan en el campo. ¿Podrías recordarnos en tus oraciones?

Dahiana y yo comenzamos a salir cuando descubrimos que Dios había puesto el mismo llamado en nuestros corazones y que Él estaba obrando en los detalles para unirnos. Nos comprometimos en 2024 y nos casamos en enero de 2025. Ha sido una aventura increíble servir junto a mi mejor amiga y esposa. Cada día llevamos una gran impulso y carga espiritual por alcanzar y discipular a los perdidos, Dios me ha dado una compañera maravillosa para servir juntos.

La historia de Gabe:

Desde muy joven, el Señor comenzó a llamarme a seguir Su guía, muchas veces a través de la influencia de personas en la secundaria, universidad y vida, especialmente mi familia sólida y con raíces cristianas y generacionales de pastores y misioneros. Comencé a ver diferentes perspectivas de la iglesia global y a comprender el corazón de Dios para que todos los pueblos, tribus, lenguas y naciones reciban las Buenas Nuevas y la luz de Jesús.

Al ingresar a la Universidad Asbury, mi fe creció enormemente y tuve la oportunidad de practicar el ministerio tanto dentro como fuera del campus. En el verano de 2021, participé en una experiencia de voluntariado de tres meses (midterm) con WGM en Paraguay. El Espíritu Santo se manifestó en innumerables ocasiones a través de los ministerios y milagros que presencié. A mitad de ese verano, el llamado de Dios fue claro: regresar a Paraguay a tiempo completo para servir y ayudar a otros a conocer a Jesús. El Espíritu Santo me habló con claridad:

“¿Servirás conmigo por la causa de mi reino, Gabe? ¿Brillarás mi luz en los lugares más oscuros?” 

Decirle “sí” a Jesús abre puertas para los propósitos de Su reino y permite que el Evangelio llegue a todos los pueblos.

Desde 2022 sirvo con World Gospel Mission tiempo completo.

La historia de Dahiana:

Soy paraguaya y desde pequeña, mi madre me inculcó la fe en Jesús. A pesar de que en la familia atravesamos momentos difíciles durante mi infancia, hoy puedo mirar atrás y ver cómo la mano de Dios obró en cada etapa. Siempre estuve involucrada en la iglesia, pero fue en febrero de 2020, después de un congreso intercultural enfocado en misiones, cuando el Señor transformó mi vida y mi compromiso con Él. Ese congreso se realizó en Chile, y al regresar a Paraguay volví con un deseo renovado de servir y con una comprensión más profunda sobre las misiones. Desde entonces, el Señor abrió puertas para involucrarme en el servicio a los pueblos indígenas.

Desde 2020 sirvo con una organización local llamada Jaha—que significa “vamos!” en Guaraní—nuestra lengua materna, desde diciembre de 2024 soy parte de World Gospel Mission. Llegué hasta aquí gracias a Dios, una amiga muy importante, y mi amigo y ahora esposo, Gabe, quienes me motivaron a unirme a WGM. Soy psicóloga de profesión y trabajé a tiempo completo en una empresa, pero hoy sirvo a Dios a tiempo completo en el ministerio.
