Pat Endsley

Retired Support Staff
By Rachel Pyle, Intern, November 2011

Pat Endsley never felt led to go to China or start an orphanage in Honduras, but she furthered the cause of missions from the home front. She contributed to the expansion of God’s kingdom at World Gospel Mission’s headquarters through her hard work and dedication.

Born in Marion, Indiana, Pat and her family moved a few miles away to the Van Buren area when she was in the fifth grade. Her parents raised their family to always follow the Lord. She attended Eastbrook High School (formerly Van Buren High School), where she excelled in math and business classes. After graduating high school, she married Bill Endsley on May 28, 1967.

Pat worked at Associates Finance until her husband was drafted into the military, and they moved to Washington for his time of service. After they moved back to Indiana, she took time off from working to start a family. Over the next several years, Pat focused her time on raising her three sons.

Returning to the workforce in 1981, she began working at Salin Bank (formerly Old First National Bank). After working there for several years, she felt a need to leave the bank. WGM employee Bonnie Kerlin attended church with Pat and knew of her desire to change jobs. Bonnie told Pat about an opening in WGM’s Financial Services Department. Pat applied for the job and was welcomed to the support staff team.

Pat started working in accounts payable, later moving to medical and payroll. Throughout the next 20 years, she worked closely with the missionaries to keep track of their finances. She also served as the receptionist in her last few years at WGM. Pat said she never came across a missionary she did not enjoy working with, and it was the personal contact and relationships gained that she enjoyed most about her job at WGM.

Pat retired in July 2009, and she enjoys spending more time with her husband, children, and four grandchildren. WGM is grateful to Pat Endsley for her 20 years of service and the contribution of her gifts in furthering the kingdom of God.
