I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach at Tenwek Missionary School in Bomet, Kenya, for the 2020–2021 school year and help with Bible Quizzing.
I have been in Kenya since August 2019. I did not expect to still be in Kenya, but God had other plans. I came to Kenya in August 2019, completing my master’s in public health internship with Least of These. I returned to Kenya in January 2020, working part-time as a teacher, part-time with Tenwek Community Health, and part-time with Bible Quizzing. During my time at Tenwek, I was asked to stay another year and teach for the 2020–2021 school year. Being a teacher helps free up their parents to work in other ministries in and around Tenwek Hospital. I did Bible Quizzing growing up, and it has been foundational to my relationship with God, so this chance to assist children in learning the Word of God is thrilling. The Lord has shown me many ways this lines up with my passions and what He has called me to do. I have prayed, thought much, and decided to pursue these exciting opportunities.
The Lord is faithful! When we are walking in step with Him, He reveals and brings us the right opportunities at His perfect timing. “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way” (Psalm 37:23 ESV).
If you would like to join me in my mission, I am in need of prayers and financial support. I plan to be in Kenya until June 2021. Thank you for being a part of my Kenyan journey!
