Orange Julius

A little taste of Zambia from World Gospel Mission’s International Cookbook

Need a refreshing snack on a hot summer day? This recipe may just hit the spot. It comes together quickly and serves four generous portions. The WGM test kitchen shared this recipe with children, and they gave the tasty treat a thumbs up. With its simple ingredients, it’s one you could use to get your kids helping in the kitchen, too. Cheers!

Instructions

Orange Julius: Gather all the ingredients.

You may need a quick trip to the freezer section of your grocery store for some frozen orange juice, but, otherwise, the ingredients in this recipe are likely ones you have on hand.

Orange Julius: Add equal parts of water and milk.
Orange Julius: The recipe needs 10 ice cubes.

With equal parts of water and milk, this recipe comes together quickly in the blender.

Orange Julius: Add the ice cubes to the blender two at a time, unless you have a ice-crushing setting.
Orange Julius: Add the ice cubes to the blender two at a time, unless you have a ice-crushing setting.

The instructions share adding only two ice cubes at a time. We dumped them all in at once, because our blender has an ice-crushing setting.

Orange Julius: After a quick blend, enjoy!

And after a quick blend, your drink is ready to enjoy.
