Escuela El Sembrador - History

The boarding school was founded in 1954 by former WGM missionaries Donald and Twana Hawk. Leaving their farm in Ohio to follow God’s call, the Hawks set out to reach the neglected children of Honduras through education. Since the first class of just 12 students, more than 7,000 students have been ministered to through El Sembrador’s programs. These graduates are now making important contributions to the development of Honduras as mechanics, lawyers, engineers, accountants, teachers, agronomists, missionaries, and pastors.
