Ministry Description
There are currently 14 WGM missionary kids whose parents serve in PNG. Although not all of these children are on the field at the same time, they are all homeschooled by their mothers. This means that four missionary moms/wives are busy homeschooling and are unable to be involved in other ministries.
Quick Facts
- With over 800 languages, PNG is linguistically the world’s most complex nation. Church services are conducted and Bibles are written in Melanesian Pidgin, the local trade language.
- Men and women have very distinct roles in Papua New Guinean society. Women in the garden, take care of the children and pigs, and look after the home while men traditionally handle all negotiations.
