Africa Gospel Church is a Kenya-based network of local churches that has been self-governing since the early 1970s and has seen remarkable growth and development in urban areas. A construction supervisor is needed to assist in teaching churches the best practices of construction, building structures, and equipping congregations to utilize resources wisely.

Ministry Description

World Gospel Mission began working in Kenya in 1932. The first missionaries were involved in church planting, nursing in dispensaries, starting and overseeing schools, and ministering to unwed mothers and their babies. Africa Gospel Church is the outgrowth of their early work. Now, AGC has more than 1,700 congregations throughout Kenya with an average weekly attendance of 300,000.The church encourages its members to pattern their livesafter the life of Jesus and to experience and express God’s holiness in their daily lives, putting faith into action andaddressing social ills with the positive message of faith in Christ.

• AGC’s mission is: “to fulfill the Great Commandment and Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Great Plan.” The Great Commandment embodies Loving God (spiritual development) and Man (social development). The Great Commission (intentional discipleship) informs the need for structure and programs. The Great Plan(dynamic evangelism) defines the extent of our mission, which is not just local but isalso to make an impact on families, communities, nations, and the world.

• The church oversees several pastoral leadership training programs, medicaloutreach through Tenwek Hospital, andurban church ministries in Nairobi and 30 other major Kenyan cities.

• AGC sends out over 50 Kenyan missionaries to more than 10 unreached groups in Kenya. They are intentional in developing programs and outreachstrategies friendly to people of other faiths, including programs in parts of northeastern Kenya.
