I believe that my calling to serve the Lord in Hungary began when I was very young. I was blessed to have been raised in a church where the Great Commission was important, and I vividly remember hearing missionaries speak on missionary Sundays. I did not realize how much of an impact these services had on me until my time at Ohio Christian University.
During my time in college, I had the chance to serve on numerous short-term mission trips. Through these trips, I experienced a constant theme of darkness and felt a tangible weight. As I was processing these experiences, I opened my Bible to John 1:5, which says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (NIV). As I read this passage, I knew that the Lord was inviting me to walk with Him and to shine His light.
I have always had a passion for discipleship. While in college, I noticed a coffee shop is a setting in which people can gather to study the Word and worship with one another. Since college, I have always dreamed of opening a coffee shop to build relationships in the community and share the Gospel. I am excited to do just that in Hungary.
