LeRoy: Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.” I received this verse while in college seeking God’s will for my life. It is my desire to let my life—actions, attitude, and words—allow people to see Christ in me. I am thankful for the Christian home where I grew up and the church my parents took my family to regularly. We heard the gospel message in both places. Even with that background, I still had to make the choice to accept Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. It is my desire to share that message on the mission field in whatever way the Lord gives me—whether with a hammer, a cooking tool, or a Bible in my hand.

Sandy: I grew up as a missionary kid and saw my parents live out their faith and share God’s love with people of a different culture and country. I thank the Lord that they also felt it very important to share it with my sister and me in ways that even as a very young girl I was able to understand my need for a Savior and begin my walk with Jesus. As I have grown in my walk with the Lord over the years, my “life verse” has been John 16:33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” It is my desire to walk with others and share with them that the message of God’s peace and victory is true for their lives as they open their hearts to let Him in. I thank the Lord for the many ways he has opened doors for us over the years to share in people’s lives and to use the skills and abilities He has given us.
