Gift Options

Recurring/Ongoing Support
Your ongoing support greatly encourages missionaries and allows them to plan more effectively for the future. Ministries require ongoing gifts to fully and effectively implement long-term programs. Ongoing gifts may be pledged monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Missionaries are released from homeland ministry assignment (fundraising) as soon as the needed amount of ongoing gifts is raised.

Special Gifts
Your gifts directly affect the spiritual and physical lives of people around the world. Special gifts can be given to support a missionary or ministry. Special gifts are needed to help with incidental expenses and emergencies. These gifts are especially essential to rapidly growing ministries and are tax-deductible.

Memorial Gift
With a cash gift to the ministry or missionary of your choice, you can thoughtfully remember a departed loved one or honor a special person.

Life Investment
An irrevocable, one-time gift in the amount of $1,500, $3,000, or $4,500 will provide a monthly support gift for a missionary or support staff member during his or her service with World Gospel Mission. Each year, WGM applies interest earned toward the support of the designated missionary or support staff member.

STEER, Inc.
STEER Inc. is a non-profit evangelical, interdenominational, agricultural, mission fund-raising program. STEER, Inc. is a service arm to missions around the world, dedicated to help financially strengthen and undergird all aspects of foreign missionary work, such as individual missionary support, radio, literature, hospitals, Bible institutes, world relief, etc. through its member mission organizations.

STEER, Inc. has been in the ministry of multiplied giving for missions ever since its founding in Park River, North Dakota in 1957. Evangelical and interdenominational in scope, STEER is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.  The goal of STEER's ministry is to assist existing missions organizations in a financial way so that they may follow their calling to bring about world evangelization.  This non-profit organization works to bring together people (donors) who provide the working capital (units). Units are then invested with a farmer or a rancher in the agricultural project of his choice, with that farmer or rancher contributing the feed and care for the project.  This program is especially helpful to farmers or ranchers who may desire to be actively involved in missions but who may lack the capital to expand their herds or acreage in order to support missions like they really want to.

PROPERTY

Real Estate
You can contribute a home, a farm, or other property to World Gospel Mission. With appreciated real estate, you can eliminate the capital gains tax that would have otherwise been due upon the sale of the property by donating the property to a charitable organization such as WGM.

Stock
Giving appreciated stock can be an added tax benefit to you. As with a gift of real estate, rather than selling the security and paying a capital gains tax on the stock’s increase in value, you can donate the security directly to World Gospel Mission and avoid the capital gains tax.

PLANNED GIVING

Charitable Gift Annuity
During your lifetime, regular payments from an annuity are made to you or to someone you designate. At the time of the beneficiary’s death, the balance of the annuity is paid to World Gospel Mission.

Charitable Remainder Trust
Funds or property are placed into a trust and you or someone you designate will receive regular payments from the trust. Upon termination of the trust, the balance of trust assets is paid to World Gospel Mission (and other qualified charities, if desired).

Life Insurance
You can make World Gospel Mission the beneficiary or co-beneficiary of a life insurance policy you already hold. Giving a paid-up policy to WGM benefits missions and may provide you with an immediate income tax benefit.

Will or Revocable Living Trust
You can name World Gospel Mission as a beneficiary of your estate through your will or revocable living trust. WGM’s Development Department provides complimentary estate planning services, including the preparation of some documents. Through a will or living trust, you can designate a gift to be given to a particular mission field or project.
