Mexico
In Mexico, there is a huge population shift to the cities. With the formation of new communities, many cities are left without an evangelical church or even an evangelical Christian who testifies of God’s love. The people of Mexico are highly religious, but less than 1 percent of the population in Central Mexico is evangelical Christian. The time to act is now! Are they waiting for you in Mexico or on the Texas/Mexico border?
Children’s/Youth Ministries
Evangelizing children and youth is extremely important in Mexico and on the Texas/Mexico border as 50 percent of Mexico’s more than 109.9 million people are 15 years of age or younger. While providing physical and emotional support, WGM Mexico is able to minster to the spiritual needs of children and youth through Taylor Community Center, camping ministries, and compassionate outreach programs to at-risk families.
Taylor Community Center: Taylor Community Center in McAllen, Texas, serves as a safe haven where children hear the gospel presented through weekly Bible clubs, recreational programs, and sewing/craft classes. Future activities at the center will include sports and after-school programs, tutoring, counseling, and Bible studies as well as English, health, computer, and shop classes.
Camping Ministries: For many Christians, church camp holds a special place in their hearts as the location where they accepted Christ as their personal Savior. The national church wants to give the children and youth of Mexico that same opportunity through El Tunal Campground. The facilities are currently being transformed from a minimal usage camp to a year-round, multipurpose facility for retreats, trainings, youth camps, and community rentals.

The time to act is now! More missionaries, pastors, and lay leaders are desperately needed in Mexico and on the Texas/Mexico border. Join the national church and lay leaders in reaching Mexico for Christ through theological education and missions.
Theological Education: Theological education is greatly needed throughout the national church of Mexico. Currently, Theological Education by Extension programs are being used to teach and train lay leaders and pastoral candidates and to teach basic Christian beliefs through discipleship and Sunday School classes. The programs are designed to take Bible classes to pastors and church leaders where they live, giving these men and women the opportunity to continue their educations. Institute of Theology by Extension is a more in-depth theological program that is also available to church members. INSTE focuses on ministry training and leadership development.
AMSLA: Mexico has become a receiving nation for missionaries serving through AMSLA (the Latin American Holiness Missionary Agency), a sister organization of WGM. Together, we are making a difference for Christ in Mexico. Won’t you join us?
A church is more than a building—it’s about building relationships and changing the future of a community.
Educational Ministries
Through the avenues of primary and secondary schools and extension programs, missionaries, volunteers, and nationals in Mexico are helping to educate tomorrow’s leaders in Christ-centered environments. Students are being equipped for success while learning skills that will help them support their families.
Educational ministries in Mexico and on the Texas/Mexico border include Taylor Christian School, theological education, and English as a Second Language classes. It is also a dream of the national church to start a Christian elementary school to meet the need for quality Christian education in Mexico.
Taylor Christian School: Taylor Christian School, located in McAllen, Texas, was founded by WGM missionaries in 1948. The main purpose of the school is to provide a quality education with a biblical worldview, training children in biblical concepts and giving them a solid foundation for their lives. Taylor ministers to elementary and middle school students from the local McAllen area and from nearby Reynosa, Mexico.

Support Ministries
WGM believes there is a place for everyone in missions. Support ministries offer a way for people to find their niche in missions by using their God-given talents and abilities to work hand-in-hand with other missionaries and national Christians. Some available opportunities include being accountants, treasurers, mechanics, computer technicians, work team coordinators, maintenance workers, and guesthouse hosts. These support roles complement the other ministries on our fields.
